Maintenance Technician II 2nd Shift 3:00pm-11:00pm- First Year $5,000 Sign On Bonus
As a Maintenance Technician II, you will be responsible for troubleshooting, fixing, and maintaining equipment. You will support and enable preventative maintenance at the plant. You are expected to learn intermediate maintenance skills and complete related tasks as needed. The Maintenance Technician performs planned and scheduled maintenance repairs, and/or modification of the plant’s mechanical systems. The Maintenance Technician is involved in fabrication, application, installation, and repair of mechanical equipment. The technician is responsible for a variety of duties including but not limited to line repairs, parts replacement, completing work orders, participation in PM’s, cleaning, and lubricating equipment according to pre-set standards, performing teardowns and set-up of equipment and performing emergency troubleshooting and repairs when needed. Maintenance technicians will be responsible for supporting the operation and maintenance of automated production equipment in a 24/7 food facility, while observing all safety regulations and ensuring GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) and quality standards are met to maintain the efficient flow of production.

You will be expected to carry out all your activities with reliability, integrity, compliance and in a safe, environmentally responsible, and efficient manner.
Your responsibilities:
- Perform maintenance tasks per work orders assigned
- Understand how to work safely and speak up when you do not
- Continue to learn new skills and grow in your maintenance expertise
- Train other Maintenance and Reliability Technicians
- Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical components (480v. 110v. 24v.)
- Must have desire to problem solving and learn decision making abilities.
- Must be able to climb ladders and stairs multiple times every day, lift 50 lbs. regularly, kneel, and crawl.
- Demonstrate the ability to resolve personnel conflict and handle multiple priorities at a time
- Replace sprockets, sheaves, chains, and belts on existing equipment.
- Possess the basic knowledge of plant equipment required to perform Preventative Maintenance. PM (Preventative Maintenance) will include lubrication of bearings, checking oil in gear reducers, changing oil in gear reducers, replacing bearings, etc.
- Learn and implement Predictive Technologies into work plans. For example, use of IR, vibration analysis, UE technology, etc....
- Demonstrate the ability to set up welder and be able to make a satisfactory weld on mild steel with a stick or wire feed welder.
- Replace Motors and wire up
Essential skills and experience:
- High School diploma or GED
- 2-4 years of experience in Maintenance in manufacturing environment
- Good communication skills, both verbal and written
- Effectively use computer applications
- Ability to organize and prioritize tasks
- Demonstrated mechanical aptitude, including ability to problem solve
- Demonstrated proficiency in intermediate-level technical competencies, for example, predictive and preventative maintenance, electrical systems, and troubleshooting
- Experience with welding and fabrication
- Knowledge of food safety requirements and HACCP
Good to have:
- CMRT certification
- Associate degree in industrial maintenance or related field
Team members must be clean shaven in order to perform tasks where respiratory protection is required and the use of a respirator (including N-95 dust mask) requires a proper seal for adequate protection.
