Maintenance Technician II
As a Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for the different aspects of maintenance at the facility, including troubleshooting automation equipment and sensors (PLCs), industrial electrical systems, motors, bearing/gears, and other systems and components. The person will be a part of a team that also does occasional fabrication and welding work. The Technician must perform in a busy environment with constantly moving machinery, and act according to written procedures, policy, and regulations.

Above all you will be expected to carry out all your activities with reliability, integrity, compliance and in a safe, environmentally responsible, and efficient manner. Your responsibilities: Provide preventative and on-demand maintenance on all plant systems during assigned shift. Work in a safe and professional manner with safety always being the top priority. Comply with GMP, HACCP, and regulatory mandates. Ensure all proper documentation is completed and filed appropriately. Be familiar with equipment and operations within entire facility. Perform housekeeping and sanitation duties as related to work areas. Troubleshoot problems and correct them in a timely and most economical manner. Remain on 24-hour stand-by for emergency maintenance calls as scheduled. Be able to prioritize maintenance issues and correct them efficiently.
REQUIRED SKLLS AND EXPERIENCE
Must have a high school diploma or equivalent. At least 2 years in maintenance roles. Experience with plant automation systems (PLCs, Variable Frequency Drives, Electrical, Mechanical Systems). Proficient in English both written and verbally. Proficient in computer tools including email and spreadsheets. Physical requirements and working conditions (with or without reasonable accommodation): Able to lift up to 50 pounds. Able to work in a dusty environment and wear respiratory protection.
OTHER CONSIDERATIONS
Must be willing to accept accountability and work well in a team.
Must be willing and able to work 12-Hour shifts, weekends, Holidays, 7-day weeks, and opposing shifts when needed.
Must be willing to get cross-trained in at least one other position for development within the facility and to provide any relief duties as needed.
Above all you will be expected to carry out all your activities with reliability, integrity, compliance and in a safe, environmentally responsible, and efficient manner.

Understand how to work safely and speak up when you do not
Continue to learn new skills and grow in your maintenance expertise
Train other Maintenance and Reliability Technicians
Essential skills and experience:
High School diploma or GED
2-4 years of experience in Maintenance in manufacturing environment
Good communication skills, both verbal and written
Effectively use computer applications
Ability to organize and prioritize tasks
Demonstrated mechanical aptitude, including ability to problem solve
Demonstrated proficiency in intermediate-level technical competencies, for example, predictive and preventative maintenance, electrical systems, and troubleshooting
Experience with welding and fabrication
Knowledge of food safety requirements and HACCP
Good to have:
CMRT certification
Associate’s degree in Industrial Maintenance or related field
Team members must be clean shaven in order to perform tasks where respiratory protection is required and the use of a respirator (including N-95 dust mask) requires a proper seal for adequate protection.
