Pack Operator
Rotating 12 hour Shift from Days to Nights on a monthly basis. 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM.
Week 1 (48 hours) – Mon – Off and then Tues/Wed – On and then Thur/Fri- Off and then Sat/Sun - On
Week 2 (36 hours) - Mon - On and then Tues/Wed- Off and then Thur/Fri – On and then Sat, Sun – Off
Your role:
As Pack Operator you will be responsible for the day to day operations of the pack equipment, including flour scheduling, shipping and receiving, inventory control, maintenance and sanitation. The pack operator works with the scheduler to coordinate packing and shipping dates of scheduled orders as well as to communicate flour needs for packing. The pack operator also works with the production supervisor in the inventorying and ordering of packaging materials and the maintenance manager to discuss on preventative and reactive maintenance issues as well as material requests and scheduling repair days.

Your responsibilities:
Operate packer and palletizer equipment.
Load/unload trucks and railcars using forklift or pallet jack.
Manage order schedule and daily inventory.
Prepare daily production report.
Prepare COA’s (Certificate of Analysis) for load orders.
Warehouse sanitation.
Analyze flour with lab instruments.
Perform basic preventive maintenance.
Essential skills and experience:
High School diploma or equivalent preferred
Good communication skills, both verbal and written
Effectively use computer applications
Ability to organize and prioritize tasks.
Good to have:
Mechanical Aptitude
Prior experience with manufacturing equipment
Experience operating mobile equipment including forklift, yard tractor, bobcat or Track Mobile; will train, as needed.
May be required to pass a physical abilities test with or without reasonable accommodation with the ability to:
Frequently stand, walk, rotate, bend/stoop, twist, crouch, kneel, balance and reach or lift at shoulder level, above shoulder level, and below shoulder level
Frequently climb stairs and/or ladders
Occasionally lift/shovel/carry up to 55 pounds
Occasionally push up to 200 pounds of force
Occasionally pull/torque up to 210 pounds of force
Team members must be clean shaven in order to perform tasks where respiratory protection is required and the use of a respirator (including N-95 dust mask) requires a proper seal for adequate protection.
